Abstract

PrevalenceHybrid energy supply systems (HES) for the comprehensive provision of consumers with electricity and heat is growing every year both in the world and in Ukraine. For Ukraine, the direction of using distributed generation has become quite relevant in recent years due to significant losses in centralized generation. HES combine modern traditional energy technologies and renewable energy sources. Such a combination has a certain synergistic effect in terms of enhancing the advantages of each energy source in the system and mutual compensation of their shortcomings. HES for the autonomous provision of consumers not only with electricity, but also with heat are widely used in the municipal sector, individual households, small industrial facilities, etc. In the climatic conditions of Ukraine, to provide consumers with electricity, it is most advisable to integrate photovoltaic solar panels and a wind turbine into HES. A GSE with gas and electric water-heating boilers as heat supply sources, and with photovoltaic solar panels and a wind turbine as autonomous sources of electricity are proposed for consideration. The aim of the work is to optimize the GSE operating modes throughout the year and the power of each energy source in the proposed system using experimental data on the climatic conditions of the Odessa region. The methodology for determining the optimal structure and indicators of the GSE is based on the generalization of experimental long-term climatic data on solar insolation and wind speed for this region. To optimize the load modes and parameters of the GSE, an objective function is proposed that minimizes the imbalance between the generation and consumption of electricity in the system. A methodology has been developed for determining the optimal load modes and parameters of the GSE according to the criterion of minimizing the deficit of the electric power of the GSE. Optimal schedules for the electric and thermal load of the GSE of the proposed configuration by months of the year have been obtained. It has been confirmed that the seasonal variability of the energy potential of solar and wind resources can be mutually compensated by integrating different energy sources into a single system, optimizing their load modes and generating capacities
