Abstract

The article describes the importance and scientific approaches to the essence of the environmental
component of sustainable development of agricultural sphere of the region. The main environmental problems in the agri-food sphere of the Southern region are characterized. The nature, direction and characteristics of an ecologically balanced and sustainable development of the agri-food sphere of the region have
been determined.
